Fuji limited edition Instax Mini 7S camera – the Polaroid returns

Fuji_instant

Well, Polaroid has departed the instant photography market, but that’s not the end of the technology – Fuji is taking over where Polaroid left off with the Fuji Instax Mini 7S camera, also known as the Cheki 7.

These super-cool limited edition cameras use Fuji Instax film to produce shots sized around 54 x 86mm (the actual photo sized at 46 x 62mm). No tweaking of your shots, no printing and immediate memories. The camera isn’t bad either, packing an automatic built-in flash, simple exposure control, infinity focusing and a high quality Fujinon lens.

Take your pick from brown and white, with prices starting at around £63 from the Lomography shop.

James Brown retro-styled artwork at General Pattern

Brown

No, not the sadly-missed singer, this James Brown is a London-based illustrator – and his retro-styled artwork is available to buy on the General Pattern website.

Check out all the prints on the site, but we like the two above, Voodoo and Bags. The first is a two colour screenprint on zerkall printing soft white paper sized at 38.5 x 53 cm, which you can buy for £40.

The second print is a one colour Linocut on off-white sugar paper, sized at 40 x 50cm. You can pick that one up for £20.

Ikea Stockholm mid-century style console table

Ikea_stockholm

Officially described as a ‘sofa bench’, we prefer to call it the Ikea Stockholm console table.

The idea of a sofa bench is for extra storage behind your sofa, but in its more traditional role, this console table offers slimline storage for a hallway or indeed any narrow room on its two shelves.

And being part of the Stockholm range, it offers a 50s-style mid-century look that should fit in effortlessly with your sideboard and period seating. Made of oak and designed by Ehlén Johansson, it sells for £149.

Adidas Beckenbauer Allround trainers reissued

Adidas_beck

Not sure what’s going on with Adidas right now, but it seems to be reissuing trainers faster than we can write about them – the latest being the Adidas Beckenbauer Allround trainers.

Back in 1982, the footie legend would have been in the twilight of his footballing career (at Hamburg, then onto a final fling at the New York Cosmos), but was still a name to stick on the side of a shoe. This particular trainer was designed for both a kickabout in the school yard or on an all-weather pitch, but still had enough about it to pair up with a pair of jeans.

The reissue offers a plush leather upper bold orange stripes and a ‘high impact’ training insole, should you want to show off your skills. Pre-order now for £55.
