Joe Colombo 1960s Oluce Coupe table lamp

Oluce

Contrary to general opinion, not everything from the mind of Joe Colombo was space age and plastic – some of his designs were as simple as the Couple table lamp.

Designed for Oluce Lighting in 1967, it’s very much a functional item, but with that magic ingredient of style. Take your pick from black or white, both with lacquered metal bases, lacquered aluminium heads and chrome plated stems.

If you want to treat your desk, it will cost you around £413.

Ultra Motor Europa – retro-styled electric bicycle

Europa_2

If you’re on the look out for an eco-friendly way of getting to work, buy a bike. If that sounds a bit too much like hard work, the Ultra Motor Europa could be an option.

Styled like a classic Dutch bike, the Europa offers more than pedal power – a lithium-ion battery to power you to work and back. It’s capable of hitting 20mph and covering an area of 20 miles. And it charges by plugging into the mains.

And should you feel a burst of energy coming on, there’s also 7-speed Shimano gears to assist with some authentic cycling. Not sure about a UK price, but US readers can pick one up for around $1,900 (around £950).

Levi Vintage 1978 Dry Pack – jeans, t-shirt and bag

Levi_78

Can’t say 1978 rings any bells as a year of significance in fashion, but that’s the year Levi’s has chosen for its Levi Vintage 1978 Dry Pack.

For your money, you get a pair of 5-pocket 501s in dark indigo (presumably without the enormous flares that were just about hanging on in that year), an authentic 70s-style sports t-shirt (in white) and a vintage-style laundry bag to store it all in, should you need to get it washed.

All of that in limited quantities for £165.
