Vintage Owl Lavender Bags

Vintageowls
If your room (or your wardrobe) needs a bit of freshening up, you couldn’t find a more hip way than these Vintage Owl Lavender Bags.

As the name suggests, each Owl is filled with lavender and made from a vintage fabric, with a small hanging loop at the top. Obviously the vintage material means you might not get exactly the Owl pictured – but you’ll certainly get one in a similarly bright and retro fabric.

The Owls are 18cm in size and retail for £7.

Mini Car Cuckoo Clock

Mini_cuckoo
Most car merchandising doesn’t get much further than a novelty key ring or a bad baseball cap, so three cheers for Mini, which has brought this fantastic Mini Car Cuckoo Clock.

The chrome clock is based on the speedometer of the car, with the hours and minutes replacing the mph. That would be good enough, but there’s one other thing – every full hour, a detailed miniature of a red Mini (1:93 scale) emerges from the "garage" at the bottom and circles around the entire clock, accompanied by an original engine noise and horn.

Ideal for any Mini obsessive, you can pick one up online or from Mini dealers for 99 Euros, which is around £65.

Bagpuss ceramic flower pots

Bagpuss_flowerpot
When that saggy old cloth cat known as Bagpuss first hit our screens in 1974, it probably wasn’t expected to last more than a year. Yet, 33 years on, the shops are full of Bagpuss merchandise, ranging from toys and games to clothing and homeware – but our favourite item has to be this Bagpuss flower pot.

Looking more shocked than sleepy, it’s a great likeness, with the cat’s pink and white colouring hand painted onto the ceramic point, which is 9cm in height and with a depth also of 9cm.

Available now, you can pick one up for just £2.99.

Nothing out of the ordinary about the actual clock, it tells the time, has a seconds hand and a hand to select your alarm time. The alarm, as you’d expect, is a big ringing bell, the kind of thing that would make you jump out of bed in a morning – just to switch it off.
