Matti Klennell FOUR Vase

FourvaseThe FOUR Vase by Matti Klenell is a new product, but like a lot of Scandinavian design, it has a retro look to it. The ‘smoked brown’ colourway (pictured here) in particular wouldn’t look out of place in a 1970s home.

The vase takes its name from its unique design feature. The inside ball is perforated with four holes of various sizes to accommodate different amounts of flowers, from a single stem to a large bouquet.

The FOUR Vase costs £75 from Funktionalley

Circa Ceramics Retro Tiles

CircaChicago-based designers Circa Ceramics offer a range of quirky ceramics on their Etsy shop, including a selection of retro-influenced porcelain tiles.

The tiles are a good way to brighten up a wall space that isn’t big enough for a canvas, but still needs a touch of colour. The current stock includes tiles with pictures of a Vespa, a Starmite camera and Mod favourite, a target. The stock changes so it is worth checking again to see if you can find a design you like.

Elmar Flötotto Flowerpower Fan

FlowerpowerAs the rain continues to pour down in the UK, this item is another bit of wishful thinking, but one with a distinctly sixties name, the Elmar Flötotto Flowerpower Fan.

This floor-standing fan is available in red, blue, yellow, orange, black, green and silver. They look particularly striking in a multi-coloured group as pictured here, but at around £400 a fan, that’s an expensive look to achieve. If you do fancy splashing out on one or more, another feature to note as that when in operation, the fan sways as if in a gentle breeze!

The Flowerpower Fan is available to buy online from Urban Suite.

Yo-Yo Floor Lamp

Yoyo_mFollowing the Blackboard Coffee table, here is another product that will transport you back to childhood – the Yo-Yo Floor Lamp by Elmar Flototto.

In the shape of a giant yo-yo, the lamp has a long cable in place of the string, which makes it easy to move around the room. Apparently, it can also be used outdoors or lay flat to be used as an occasional table. However, it probably isn’t advisable to attempt any real yo-yo tricks with it!

Its available to buy from Questo Design, priced approximately £160.
