Dee and Ricky Lego belt buckle

Legobelt

If you like your lego, Dee and Ricky offer the opportunity to wear your art on your sleeve with their range of accessories crafted from the humble bricks, including this belt buckle. The New York based duo creations, which also include hair bows and heart brooches, were featured in a Marc Jacobs show last year and are now available to buy directly from their own website.

Using the bright building blocks as a starting point means there is all manner of colour combinations to select from for the buckle. The prices are a bit higher than your average lego starter kit though with the buckle costing $85 and the actual belt an additional $10.

I am planning on doing a series of 'five of the best' round-ups for the different areas covered by Retro To Go, but in the meantime, I'd like to point you in the direction of an article we have just done for Modculture, a top five of 60s-style shirtmakers and retailers.

We've gone beyond the obvious choices on the high street, instead looking at more specialist and 'niche' sellers, but all affordable and all with websites so you can order online and find out more, no matter where you are in the world.

We've previewed these on the site for some time now, so we're finally glad to see the Brutus Trimfit shirts in the shops.

As we mentioned previously, the shirts offer all that classic 1960s detailing, with a slim fit, bold button-down collar, box pleat and a choice of tartan, black gingham or blue gingham as colours.

The first batch of stockists are Jump The Gun in Brighton, Oi Polloi in Manchester and Hip in Leeds, all three offering online sales too if you don't happen to live nearby. Adidas Brands A-Z book

Adidas_bible1

There's no collector quite so dedicated as the collector of Adidas trainers. And if it's a field you want to dive into, make sure you're armed with the Adidas Brands A – Z book.

Not just about trainers, the 240-page book is described as 'the bible of the 3 Stripe brand', documenting all of its major moves since 1924 – their key designs, sponsorships, collaborations and looks. If it's been made, it probably gets covered in here somewhere.

Sold in a slide out protective cover, you can pick it up now, priced at £21.99. See over the page for an inside look.
