Royal Elastics Andy Warhol trainers

Warhol_trainers

I can’t honestly say these are particularly fashionable, but if you’re after a pair of novelty trainers, they don’t come much more novelty than these Royal Elastics Resi Warhol trainers.

Based  on Warhol’s famous banana, they feature an upper of two tone cracked leather, molded rubber outsole and extra thick foam sockliner, not to mention a Warhol signature on the sole. You can buy them online for $125 (around £65).

Lyle & Scott Vintage range scarf

Lyle_scarves

We’ve touched on the Lyle & Scott Vintage range previously – it’s a revival of some of the company’s designs from the days when it was on top of its game commercially (around 20 years back). And as the weather is getting ever-colder, it seems like a good time to highlight the Lyle & Scott Vintage range scarves.

It’s style from simplicity – plain colours, all made from 100 per cent lambswool and all featuring the vintage embroidered eagle. And as it’s the Vintage range, the colours are a little different from what you’d expect today – beige, burgundy, burnt orange and if you’re feeling particularly brave, pink.

Available now, you can pick one up for around £30.

Umbro By Kim Jones Waxed Harrington

Umbro_harrington
I do like a Harrington jacket – and right now, it’s back as a fashionable garment, so there’s plenty to choose from  – even though most look almost identical!

Another contender for your cash is the Umbro By Kim Jones Waxed Harrington. According to the manufacturer, it is "inspired by football ‘Away Days’ , with a waxed finish, an elasticated waist and cuff, two front pockets, button collar and thankfully, no large logo – the company details are restricted to the zipper shape.

Originally pushing £150, you can probably find it in the sales – End are doing it right now for £95.

Adidas Gazelle Vintage in macaw green

Adidas_gazelle
A classic trainer design, but in a very different colour scheme.

Not sure how common these Adidas Gazelle Vintage trainers are in macaw green – I’ve seen them around a lot of US sites, but not in any UK stores (if you have, let us know). It’s a colour combination you’ll either love or hate – if you do take to it, you just know they’ll be comfortable with the soft leather uppers and rubber sole.

Available online from US suppliers for around $110 (around £70).

Adidas Vintage Football 54 shoe

Adidas_vintagefootball

When Adidas says ‘Football’ they mean (for our US readers) soccer. And in 1954, this is the kind of footie footwear being worn by the German team, updated and re-produced under the name Adidas Vintage Football 54.

Available in a black or red colour scheme, they’re an ankle-length boot in a mix of suede and leather with a nice ‘mock’ stud on the rear. Worth shopping around for these as they seem to be appearing in the sales – follow the link below to Milan Clothing, which has them reduced from just under £100 to £50. And if they haven’t your size, a Google search should find other outlets.
