iWood wooden retro sunglasses

Iwood
Something a little different from the usual plastic-framed sunglasses are these wooden variations  – the iWood Style 312 sunglasses.

The look is decidedly vintage – think Jackie O. But she probably didn’t wear wooden frames. The glasses are handmade, using sustainably harvested wood and are on offer right now – so you can buy them and put them away for the summer break.

Priced at $210 (around £110).

Paul Smith Bunny trainers

Ps_bunny
Paul Smith isn’t really known for footwear – and certainly not trainers – but these Paul Smith Bunny trainers are worth a look.

A very traditional shape, in white with red detailing and multicoloured side stripe. But the one stand out feature here in the toe – which features an unusual brogue-style detailing. The upper and lining is leather, sole is rubber.

Priced at £75, if they’ve got your size, you can pick them up in the sale at Kurt Geiger right now for £59.

Adidas Carlo Gruber ski sweater

Adidas_sweater
Carlo Gruber
was a successful range of ski wear for Adidas in the 70s, named after the Austrian ski instructor that inspired the range. In fact, it was so successful that the company decided to reintroduce it a year back, mixing vintage designs with some modern pieces in a similar style.

This Carlo Gruber ski sweater sums it up. A traditional wool sweater you’d expect to see worn on the piste in the 70s, but look closely and you’ll see the Adidas logo woven into the design and a modern-day logo on the sleeve.

Available now, you can pick one up for around £70.
