Aero Stool – retro and eco-friendly seating

Aero

Slightly mid-century in inspiration, but much more reminiscent of something from the 1970s – the Aero Stool is also an eco-friendly piece of seating.

Inspired by ‘a mirror image on a still lake’, the curved seat is made from hard Brazilian FSC-certified Pau Ferro wood, coupled with a cream-coloured cushion made from synthetic leather.

Made to order, so expect something of a lead time, you can order one for £895.

Toy Watch Company’s Fluo watch – the affordable Rolex Submariner

Toy_rolex

The Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1954, designed for diving and any other water-based activity. But its fame is probably more down to its appearance in the James Bond movies – 11 films have featured the timepiece. Sadly, being a Rolex means it’s out of the price range of most of us – until now.

The Toy Watch Company Fluo watch is based almost exactly on the Submariner, but with a healthy dose of fun added – like a range of colour options for a start and construction from a high strength (but light) polycarbonate.

Aside from that, this looks every bit the Rolex, but much more affordable at £125.

Horizon Armchair

Horizonchair

With plain black upholstery, the Horizon Armchair isn’t really that interesting, just another leather club-style chair. But opt for the two-tone coverings and suddenly it is transformed into a very retro piece of furniture.

It is pictured here in a Seventies style combination of orange and brown, but it could work well in black and white too.

It costs just under £1,150 from Home Temptations.
