Lyle & Scott limited edition tipped V-neck sweater

Lyle_tipped
What do you think of the Lyle & Scott knitwear? Personally I’m always put off by the size of the necks – although this Lyle & Scott limited edition tipped V-neck sweater seems to address that.

Apart from the smaller neck, this 100% merino wool has a trim to waist, neck and wrists, the vintage golden eagle logo on the chest and a choice of colours. But best of all, it is limited edition, with just 1,000 units worldwide, so a bit of exclusivity too.

Price is £75.

Fisher Price Chatter Telephone – still going strong after 46 years

Chatter
Some toys barely last a year, others might last a little longer, but few have the staying power of the Fisher Price Chatter Telephone.

First introduced in 1961, this surreal telephone does everything a small child wants  – it moves, makes a noise as it is pulled along (not to mention wobbling its eyes) and rings as the numbers are dialled.

Buy it for your kids, then put it away for your grandchildren – because it’s likely to be still entertaining the little ‘uns in another 40 years. It retails for £14.99.

Anglepoise 50 lamp by Anthony Dickens

Anglepoise50

Everyone know what an Anglepoise lamp looks like – it’s been around since 1932, becoming a design classic along the way. Although whether the Anglepoise 50 will get that sort of acclaim remains to be seen.

It’s designed by Anthony Dickens, with the company hoping this bold new look will appeal to a younger market. The Anglepoise 50 is based on the original, but with the angle frozen at 50 degrees (hence the name), almost like a fossil if you like. Why 50 degrees? The perfect angle for working apparently.

It’s available in a range of colours, including the red and orange above. You can pre-order one now from the Anglepoise site for £39.50.
