A nice mix of art and design on eBay, this Dieter Rams Braun design poster.

I’m presuming it was printed around 1975, with the poster showing designs made by the designer for Braun from 1956 to 1975. Incredibly stylish poster too, an eight-colour offset print with what you would probably call technical images of the hi-fi equipment designed by the man over this period.

Sized at 60 x 84cm and apparently unused, there are a few of them for sale, each currently selling for around £14. Sounds like an absolute bargain, not to mention a shrewd investment.

Hunting around the Laura Ashley website dug up this real gem – the Laura Ashley Colinton mid-century leather armchair.

It’s a design that screams the 1950s, with those curves and the dark wood diagonal legs. And it looks a dream to kick back into. The leather is a premium ‘Brandy Antiqued Saddle Clay’, which seems to be like a cream, although there are options for changing to a different shade if you like.

The Colinton is available online or in stores, priced at £800.

Looking like the long-departed motorbike and sidecar, the trioBike is a retro-styled bike, a two-seat buggy and a carrier bike – in fact, its interchangeable design means you can change between all three without the use of any tools. You can fit a load of up to 80kg on the bike – the equivalent of two children up to nine-years-old and it is tested to strict Danish safety standards.
