Fossil 70s-style Anadigi watch

Fossil_anadigi I’m not sure what, but there’s someting very appealing about this Fossil Anadigi watch.

Maybe it’s the faux wood face, maybe it’s the throwback looks of the display (I’m sure I used to have a vintage one just like it) or maybe it’s the way the whole things sits together. Whataver it is, this stainless steel watch with leather strap should keep you on time with both analogue and digital display. And if you go near water, it’s also resistant to 50m.

I can’t find it on sale in the UK, but in the US it sells for $75, which is a very reasonable £38. If brown isn’t you, other colour combinations are available.

Graham & Brown 70s-style Trippy wallpaper

Trippy Quirky 70s wallpaper isn’t something I’d expect from Graham & Brown, but they have it, courtesy of this Trippy wallpaper.

If you’re going for the 70s theme, this is about as authentic as you can get, with the added bonus of it being textured Super Fresco – which means it’s easier to hang than traditional paper. But before you do buy it, ask yourself this – can you really deal with this amount of colour during a Sunday morning hangover?

If you can, it’s available online or in your local DIY place for £20 per roll.

Arne Jacobsen Swan Sofa

Swan_sofa

We haven’t featured any classic design for a while, so here’s a great example – the Arne Jacobsen Swan Sofa.

It’s another example of Jacobsen creating something timeless – next year, this will be 50 years old, but this graceful sofa still looks ahead of its time. It was originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen  in 1958 and is still in production today, courtesy of Fritz Hansen, using that same moulded, foam-covered shell and satin-polished aluminium base.

It’s upholstered in a choice of fabrics, with the price depending on the one you choose. A basic cloth sets the price at £3,355, while the use of a natural leather bumps it up to £6,715.

Ramones-themed Converse Chuck Taylor

Converse_ramones There seems to be a lot of Ramones-related merchandise doing the rounds these days – but with most of the band dead, I guess there’s very little in the way of objection. Converse are the latest company to jump on this particular bandwagon, producing the Ramones-themed Converse Chuck Taylor.

The Red Chuck Taylor (to give it the official name) are made of distressed denim – just like the brothers’ jeans. It also features a Ramones logo ankle patch on one side, with the Converse logo on the other, as well as the band name embroidered on the tongue and Converse ‘Red’ detailing.

You can pick them up on the Converse site for $61.99 (around £32).

Thanko vintage-style MP3 Clock now available online

Mp3_clock You may remember we featured the Thanko vintage-style MP3 Clock a couple of months back, but were disappointed that it wasn’t available to buy anywhere outside of Japan. Well, here’s some good news – you can now pick it up online.

You can buy one from the unfortunately-named Geekstuff4u website, which ships worldwide. That means you can now pick up a traditionally-styled alarm clock that hooks up to your computer, allowing you to download MP3s to playback and wake you up in the morning. In fact, you can even record your voice to shout you out of bed first thing. Oh yes – and it’s a clock too.

It’s cheap too, retailing at $33.61 (around £17) plus the shipping to your country.
