eBay watch: Harvey Guzzini 1970s tulip-base table lamp

Guz

An interesting design that's certain to be popular on eBay, this Harvey Guzzini 1970s tulip-base table lamp.

The rarer Guzzini designs are always sought after and this is likely to be one. The sellers believes it is rare and I've not seen one like it myself. It is a Guzzini – the label is still on  it, on the white inner of the perspex shade, which is a 'caramel' colour on the outside. The base is brushed steel.

According to the seller, it is in 'excellent condition' and 'perfect working order', with three bulbs required for full illumination. If you want it, bidding right now is at £38.25.

Pukeberg Table Lamp

01
The Pukeberg Glass Factory in Sweden was founded way back in the 1970s, but it’s the designs from the 1960s that interest us the most, such as this Pukeberg Table Lamp.

This design dates back to 1960 and is made from original tins from the Pukeberg Glass Factory. The lamp is made from matt opal glass and stands at 30cm tall.

It costs just over £213 plus shipping costs from the Scandinavian Design Center.

eBay watch: 1970s Peil and Putzler ceiling lamp

Holm

Love the colour, but also love the face that it's not unlike a Holmegaard vase for your ceiling. The Peil and Putzler ceiling lamp that is.

Out of the 1970s (as you might have guessed), it is actually glass rather than plastic in construction, with the orange outer contrasted by a white inner glaze. The bulb casing is apparently fitted with three retractable prongs, which thread through the lampshade.

Condition? 'Very good' according to the seller, with a 'few very small chips' on the bottom rim of the lampshade on the white glaze, but 'hardly noticeable'. If you want it, right now it's at 99 pence.

eBay watch: 1960s octopus-style floor lamp

Medusa

A bizarre piece of interior design, with this octopus-style floor lamp certainly able to knock out some serious light.

According to the seller, it's from the 1960s and probably from a medical practice. There are five arms, each with spotlights, which can be adjusted in almost any direction. The frame itself cam also be adjusted in height. if you don't want them all on at once, they do switch off independently.

The lamp is in chromed metal, the shades in brushed aluminium, while the base is painted black and has castors. Condition is said to be 'perfect' (although there are a couple of marks on the shades – detailed on the site) and weight is 'heavy', something to bear in mind. The price right now is £89.99.
