Shop owner Lei is originally from China and regularly makes trips over to the country for authentic items - and indeed collectables of tomorrow. Which is what these clocks are. All were made during the period 1966-76, are composed of tin and feature their own message - the above examples say  “ Great Mentor, Great Leader, Long Life Chairman Mao” or "Long Life Chairman Mao".
