Herman Miller retro-styled Airia Desk

I think my favourite desk of all time has to be the George Nelson Home Desk - a desk that mixes past style with present day functionality. And that's also the case with this newly-designed Airia Desk from Herman Miller, designed by Ayako Takase of Kaiju Studios.

Like the Nelson desk, the Airia Desk has a walnut top and shallow storage, but also slips in a drawer, removable organiser trays and an off-white frame that packs in the curves. And if you like that, there's even a matching cabinet for storing your larger clutter.

As you'd expect with a Herman Miller piece, this certainly isn't cheap - but you'll find the £1,200 price tag a solid investment.
