What do you get if you apply the imagery of an airfix kit to something other than warfare? The answer is something like these Airfix London mugs by Victoria Eggs.
Here the designer has applied the look of an airfix kits to some of the iconography of London, rather than a ship or an aircraft, with the idea that you could imagine constructing your own model of the city. There's images of some traditional tourist stereotypes, from bowler hats to telephone boxes, umbrellas to the signs for public loos. Not quite true to live then, but charming nonetheless.
