The Welles Table by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada is a budget-blowing piece, but it could be worth the investment.
The table consists of a solid wood top in either American black walnut or American white oak, sitting on top of cast iron legs. Those legs are in the angled style so beloved of midcentury Scandinavian design (and pretty much everywhere at the moment). The table is available in three lengths : small 160cm, medium 200cm or large 240cm. Prices start at just over £2,700 for the small oak version up to £3,270 for the large in walnut.
