Metropolitan Line Luggage Racks
The shelving pictured above is no ordinary storage solution, but a genuine Metropolitan Line Luggage Rack.
The authentic 1960s racks from decommissioned Metropolitan Line trains which were known for their distinctive high-backed seats and these luggage racks – ideal for the City commuter to store their bowler hat and umbrella when travelling to and from the suburbs. They are available in three sizes: small 44cm long with an umbrella hook, medium 67cm with no umbrella hook or large 100cm with two umbrella hooks. Prices range from £150 to £250 and will be available to buy online or in the London Transport Museum from March.
