eBay watch: 1970s space age Hadi plastic desk by Bayer for IGL

We featured this Hadi plastic desk by Bayer for IGL some time back, when it was up with a 'buy it now' price of £1,250. Well, it looks like it was a little steep, as the price has been massively slashed - bringing this more into affordable territory.

It us still a wonderful piece of OTT 1970s space age design out of (West) Germany, it's in a very period olive green colour and with swing-out drawers, a matching Hadi Bayer chair, a built-in overhead light and a black worktop surface, which lifts up to reveal a custom space for pens and so on. A rare item, that's for sure.

Of course, condition is very important for a big-priced item, with this one having been 'repainted in past' and in 'still clean condition'. The two end edges both have been filled in past, otherwise 'great condition for a very rare designer plastic desk and chair'.

That price was £1,250, but you can now get it on that 'buy it now' for £650. Alternatively, you can make a cheaper offer - you get the feeling that the seller is keen to seel as soon as possible.
