eBay watch: 1970s Patrice Dupont-designed UFO space age portable record player

Ufo1

Definitely one of the coolest record players ever made, the 1970s Patrice Dupont-designed UFO space age portable record player does come up on eBay now and again - as it the case with this one.

It's an icon of the space age era and becoming harder to find on good condition. Plastic obviously not built for the long haul. It's powered by either battery or mains, with the player also good to carry round with an integrated handle, able to play records at 33, 45 or 78 whenever you stop and power it up.

This one is described as 'hardly used', with just slight scratches and marks through age. It's also a working model, of course. If you want it, the price is £349 or you can make an offer.
