Midcentury-influenced Aloha coffee table by Sengtai

Aloha table mini

Like the look of an Ercol coffee table but don't currently have the cash? Sengtai's Aloha coffee table is a slightly cheaper contemporary alternative.

Sengtai are a French company, relatively new to UK shores, who specialise in furniture made from bamboo wood. With chests of drawers, chairs and kid's furniture available, they're well worth checking out. This coffee table, with its echoes of midcentury styling, is definitely our favourite piece.

The table has got the almond shape and tapered legs that gives it a retro look. It's got a nice simple varnish finish too, letting the natural colour of the bamboo wood shine through. There are two sizes available: the 'mini' measures 125cm across, compared to the 156cm of the larger version.

You can order the mini Aloha for £227, or the larger size will set you back £252.
