No, your eyes are not playing tricks, there is a 1970s James Bond Lotus Esprit submarine car on eBay right now.

Yes, the iconic car / sub from the classic James Bond movie 1977 The Spy Who Loved Me is up for sale. But there are a few things worth pointing out before you raid the life savings and mortgage the house.

The vehicle was one of six built for the film, with only three said to exist still. This is obviously one of them, restored  courtesy of the US TV show Rick's Restorations. This is the one with the retractable wheels that appeared onscreen, although note that it not pressurised like a real submarine and as such, shouldn't be driven Bond-style into the sea.

Actually, there is a bigger issue in regard to driving – the wheel effect is one one side, so the car itself is really just a prop in its current state.

If that's not bad enough, just wait until you see the price. It is up for $1,000,000 on a 'Buy It Now', although the seller will consider any cheaper offers made. More images and details on the listing.
