Looking to do a house up? This 1930s art deco-style property in Elmer, West Sussex is a prime candidate.

No architect or specific era attached to it, but this we are guessing the 1930s for this art deco build, which looks to have seen better days. But on the plus side, the house maintains its original look. It just needs someone to come in and put back the style.

In fact, what it is inside is pretty much a stripped out shell, so period features mights be thin on the ground. But with salvage yards, eBay and modern-day reproductions, it shouldn’t be hard to sort out something for the interior.

As for space, there is an entrance hall, sitting room, dining room and kitchen with larder on the ground, along with a utility and access to the integrated garage. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a bathroom and access to a flat roof on the garage and a balcony. Lots of garden outside too.

More details and images on the WowHaus site and of you want it, the price is £325,000 and the agent is here.
