Now this is surprising. We were quite shocked when the Dansette returned in the form of the the Sterling record player at Urban Outfitters (most recently reissued in a black finish). But now there’s a competitor too, with the GPO Retro Bermuda record player with legs coming in at a much cheaper price.
Of course, we can’t comment on the quality of the new player as we haven’t been able to get ‘hands on’ with the Bermuda, But on the face of it, this looks like a good deal.
Of course, it looks good, styled very much like a classic Dansette. In fact, this looks just like the original Dansette Bermuda record player, which tends to go for quite a price on eBay.
But this is a new model, available in a light blue or red, complete with a fully automatic return tone arm, a three-speed deck, built-in dynamic full-range stereo speakers, MP3 and USB play-back options, the option to record from LP to USB and those legs, should you want it freestanding.
