Routemaster Bus Seats

RoutemasterchairRetrouvius is an architectural salvage and design business in Kensal Green in north west London. As well as undertaking design projects, they also sell reclaimed and salvaged furniture and amongst their current stock, we’ve spotted these Routemaster Bus Seats.

De-commissioned in 2005, the Routemaster was an iconic image of London that is much missed. Luckily for fans of the “hop-on hop-off” bus, Retrouvius have salvaged a whole bus full of seats so you can have a little reminder of the Routemaster in your own home.

They cost £50 + VAT per seat. Visit the Retrouvius website to see more images and to contact them to purchase.

  1. As a former coachmaker with London Transport I can confirm 100% that these are NOT Routemaster seats. Apart from the moquette being wrong, Routemaster seats only had two legs, the inner part of the seat was bolted to to brackets fixed on the side of the bus. These seats come from a provincial bus or coach, they are not London Transport seats at all.
