If you fancy turning your home into a groovy psychedelic throwback, the Verner Panton Ring Lamp is pretty much essential for the job.

It's a modular lighting unit from 1969, designed as part decoration and part lighting effect, ideally used in groups to create a bold psychedelic glow for your wall or ceiling. If you want to see how that can look in practice, check out the Verner Panton site for some eye-burning images.

The Ring Lamp is made of varnished acrylic glass and sheet metal, with a porcelain lamp fixture and three colour options. You can see another one over the page or you can buy one via the link below – not cheap though, with prices around the £670 mark.
