Club chair

Anthropologie describe their Rhys chair as a mid-century take on a club chair and that's a pretty appealing sounding combination for us.

It's a great looking chair which certainly stands out when compared to other mid-century interpretations that have been so prevalent on the high street lately. In fact, with its soft leather padding which extends over the arms of the beech chair, it's reminiscent of the work of Brazilian designer Sergio Rodrigues and specifically his Poltrona Mole chair which dates to 1957. The more tropical look is further enhanced by the bright jade colour of the padding.

A matching footstool is also available, meaning you can really relax in style.

Hand-made in the USA, the chair comes with a high price tag attached: it's £1998, and you'll need to pay an extra £110 for shipping on top of that.
