Now these are very cool, Stig Lindberg mugs by Skandium with designs taken from the Swedish artist's midcentury children's books.

Skandium is apparently the first company to have been granted the rights to use Stig Lindberg's iconic artwork for a product it was not originally intended for. It has opted to use  Lindberg’s intricate illustration from the 1950s children's book Daniel Doppsko (Daniel Tip Your Toe), adding dashes of colour to the black and white illustrations to make them even more eye catching. It certainly works.

Each of the mugs is made of Bone China, which is said to be dishwasher and microwave safe. £12 gets you one of these gems.
