Forget the latest version of the PlayStation or Xbox – neither comes near to the wonderful R-KAID-R, which will be available to buy in the coming weeks.
It is a console that harks back to the days of the classic video arcade machine with the joystick and buttons, not to mention compatibility with a host of classic and bygone games and consoles (Nintendo, SNES, Neo Geo, Atari 2600, Sega, MAME and many more).
It's a portable machine (once you've charged it), with built-in screen and speaker, custom controls and a choice of five finishes for the wood exterior and detailing.
Just 50 of each finish will be available and availability starts in September. it doesn't come cheap though, with a machine retailing for €2,499 including shipping and that rather cool leather carry case.
