From the 1920s to the 1950s, some lovely chairs have been given a new lease of life by Duncombe Oxleys.

As far as we can see, there are nine chairs to pick from right now, but that range is likely to be added to both in quantity and era. The father and daughter team reupholster seats from the 1920s through to the 1970s – so you can imagine a few later examples sneaking in at some point.

But there are some stylish examples already online. We love the 1950s Tweed Cocktail Armchair and its wonderful arms (pictured above) as well as the 1950s Tweed Elbow Armchair and the deco-inspired 1920s Painterly Club Armchair (both below).

All have been recovered in a modern-day (but suitable) fabric and all are ready to go as a talking point and a unique design for your living room.

Prices start at £645. Definitely a page to keep an eye on.
