We missed posting this at Halloween, not least because we don’t tend to update the site on a Saturday! But we still think this reissue of the Little Red Devil by Alexander Girard is worth a mention.

That’s because this wonderful piece of art looks good pretty much any day of the year. It is part of the wooden doll range from Vitra, which brings together the dolls produced by the iconic American designer from the 1950s onwards. This one actually dates from 1968, designed by Girard for ‘Magic of the People' fair in Texas.

It stands around 14cm tall and sells for £92. Not cheap, but this is a timeless classic and the coolest accessory to bring each and every Halloween. Although at this price, it should really have pride of place each and every day.
