Yes, you can probably do calculations on your computer or smartphone these days. But neither looks as cool as the Dieter Rams-designed Braun ET66 calculator on your desk.
Bearing more than a passing resemblance to Apple’s original iPhone calculator app, the ET66 dates back to 1987, the work of Rams alongside Dietrich Lubs and reissued as a limited edition.
It is also issued for the first time in a white finish and comes with a protective slide case and a battery to power it. What else can we say? W ell, it does your calculations and looks good when not in use. That pretty much covers it.
