Obviously now is a good time buy a calendar being the start of the year, but that matters less with the Psychedelic Metal Sign Calendar as it is one of those perpetual reusable calendars.

“Retro Balls” Canvas

DIY store B&Q wouldn’t be the first place I’d book for art and it is probably a bit of a stretch to refer to the prints they sell as art. But if you want something inexpensive to adorn your walls, the “Retro Balls” Canvas has a certain charm.

Measuring 60cm by 60cm, the black & white print has been reproduced on canvas. The women in the picture look as if they are from the 1950s and the slogan on their t-shirt reads “St Petersburg Charm School”.

Blomus Copo Teapot

Blomus designs kitchenware that just oozes style. The Copo Teapot is a great example of their simple but sophisticated look, but it also has a retro look to it that some of their other products lack.

The white teapot has an unusual retro shape but given a modern twist with the steel handle and lid. There is also a matching creamer and sugar bowl with spoon to complete the set. There can’t be a more stylish way to take your afternoon tea!

The Dashboard Clock is inspired by the dashboards of classic cars from the 1950s.

Set in a retro cream surround, the clock face is where you would find the speedometer and for added authenticity there are also a barometer and thermometer. Measuring 20cm wide 10.2cm high and 5cm deep it could be used in the office or kitchen.

If you can not afford the price of the Smeg Flueless fire we featured last month, but still want a retro-style fire to provide your warmth in the winter months, then the DeLonghi Aurelius Electric Fire may be of interest.

Whereas the Smeg fire was gas-fuelled, the Delonghi fire is electric, but it style has that 1950s look and can be wall-mounted or hung in a fireplace.
