Not just a looker, the Vico Magistretti Maralunga sofa has the comfort to match.

Originally introduced back in 1973 and now reissued by Cassina, the Maralunga is available as a standard or large sofa, as well as an armchair. All share the same design features, with a steel frame supporting super-plush seat cottons made of polyurethane foam and polyester padding. And if you fancy slouching while your partner wants to read, you can, thanks to its independent convertible headrests.

Prices vary dependent on size and finish, but start around the £1,200 mark.

Hulger offers a mid-century twist with the Pappa*Phone

If you have a nice wooden desk, we have a nice wooden phone to go with it – the Hulger Pappa*Phone.

It’s a high-end internet phone, handmade by craftsmen by Furni (in Montreal) from a mix of walnut and brass – each one unique and made to order. It looks great, but it’s also pretty useful too, connecting to PC and Mac for VoIP internet calling (Skype, iChat etc), with around 1.5m of cable to offer you some freedom.
