Onitsuka Tiger Mini Boston bag

Tiger_bag

So far I’ve only been able to find these in Japan, but hopefully we’ll see the Onitsuka Tiger Mini Boston bag worldwide soon.

It’s very much like your classic bowling bag, but with a little more space for a weekend. Made of a ‘synthetic leather’, the bag has a main pocket, a zipped rear pocket and separate storage areas inside the colour-co-ordinated interior.

Available in red and black, it retails for 6,800 Yen (around £34).

Get Lost print by Douglas Wilson

Getlost

The Keep Calm Gallery is at it again with another retro-inspired piece of artwork – the Get Lost print by Douglas Wilson.

The fetching phrase is hand letterpressed by the artist onto vintage maps of the UK. In fact, if you want your particular location on the print, just drop them a line and if it’s still available, it can be yours.

An edition of 220, all signed by the artist and measuring 14 x 14 inches, you can pick one up for £22.

Blue Ant Studio’s Classic Chair Eye Examination print

Eye_exam
Following on from its Alphabet of Modern Classics Poster, Blue Ant Studio has produced another retro gem – the Classic Chair Eye Examination print.

Using similar mid-century reference points, the print features a host of classic seating, appearing ever small (like a eye chart). It is printed on 1200dpi paper in a matte finish, then glued to very heavy stock black cardboard (which means it is ready to be framed).

Each one is hand signed and dated, priced at $35 shipped in the US and Canada or $50 to anywhere else in the world.

Brighten up your living room with the Verner Panton Ball pendant light

Verpan_ball

Not just an eye-catcher, the Verner Panton Ball pendant light will dominate any room.

Designed back in 1969 (and doesn’t it just show), the Ball light is a collection of polypropylene balls held in place by a number of nylon strings suspended from a metallic ceiling plate.

How do you change the bulb? No idea – but I suspect you’ll need to put a big chunk of your weekend aside to do so. You can choose from white or red and orange, both with a price of £699.

iRiver/Disney Mickey Mouse-shaped MPlayer MP3 player now available to buy online

Mickey_player

We covered these some time ago after the Far East launch, but the Mickey Mouse-shaped MPlayer never actually made it to the UK. But here’s the good news – new models are available and you can buy them online.

Mplayer Season 2 are much the same as the originals – made by iRiver, but with Disney branding, along with 1GB of storage and enough battery life for nine hours playback between charges. And those Mickey ears aren’t just for novelty – one is for volume, the other for control of your tracks.

The only difference from the originals are the colours – you can buy any of the above, all selling online for $96.94, which is around £48.
