1960s Holm pendant light by Anton Fogh Holm

Holm

Originally designed in the 1960s, the Holm pendant light has been updated for the modern market – but is still on of the cheapest classics on the market.

The lamp was the work of Danish architect Anton Fogh Holm, with this latest version updated by his granchild, Kim Aa Holm. The main differences being a slight change in the suspension and easier construction of the Ivercote Duo cardboard (originally glue was needed, but now it all slots together).

The design, thankfully, has remained unchanged. And it should be within most people’s price ranges at around £52.

Pointer Seeker pumps

Pointer_seeker

More stripped-down casual footwear to tempt you with – the Pointer Seeker pumps.

I say pumps, but these are probably a halfway house between pumps and trainers – all white with a canvas upper, white mod sole and gum sole unit.

If that’s a little too simple, there’s also a variation in black leather and another with a beige suede trim. Whatever pair you go for, they don’t cost the earth – with prices starting at £35, rising to a maximum of £49 for the leather.

There’s even the addition of an integrated lock for these crime-ridden times.

You can pre-order now in your colour of choice from the Finnish Design Shop, priced at 339 Euros (around £270).
