Adidas Tournament Edition bag

Adidas_tourn

We've featured plenty of retro Adidas holdalls, airline bags and sports bags in the past, but probably nothing quite so classy as the Adidas Tournament Edition bag.

Fresh out of the Adidas Archive range, this is a classic tennis bag that's just as good as a weekend bag or travel bag, made of 100 per cent leather and finished with perforations and an embroidered Adidas Tournament Edition logo.

Incredibly stylish and probably a limited edition, you can pick one up online for £140.

Cult kids TV show Magpie heads to DVD

Magpie

A classic kids TV show is soon to make its first appearance on DVD – Magpie.

The cult ITV kids show is widely thought of as one of the more hip shows of the 1970s – so hip, it even had a theme tune by the Spencer Davis Group (under the alias of The Murgatroyd Band). It ran from from 1968 to 1980, mixing music, fashion and kid-friendly fun throwing in some hippy presenters and a weird overweight bird-like mascot.

Magpie Volume 1 pulls out 12 of the best episodes from the 100 or so that survive, adding in some extras, including a 1971 special, some film inserts from 'lost' episodes and a PDF of the first Magpie annual. Is it worth buying? We don't know as Network no longer sends us TV discs to review, but if you want to take a chance for the sake of nostalgia, Magpie Volume 1 is available from 29th June 2009, priced around the £13 mark.

Cycles of Yesteryear – authentic 1950s-style bicycles

Roadster

We've featured a number of retro-styled city bikes of late, all very stylish, but many with prices that just might be out of reach for the majority of us. That's not the case with the Cycles of Yesteryear range of bicycles.

Cycles of Yesteryear offers traditional bikes from the 1950s re-built to both a high standard and in line with modern safety regulations. The best of both worlds you could say.

The one above is typical – the Gents Classic Roadster, which packs a traditionally lugged and brazed hand built frame, chrome-plated steel rims, half-enclosed chain, leather saddle plus a rear carrier, bell, pump, stand and reflectors. if you want one, it sells for £275.
