Karlsson retro disk wall clock

Karlsson retro disk clock

You can rely on Karlsson to produce a good looking clock and their retro disk wall clock is no exception.

It's a very simple clock made up of metallic disks, displayed in a flower-like pattern around the time piece. The shape of the disks combined with the look of the polished steel gives it something of a sixties look.

Certain to add a touch of glamour to any wall, the clock sells for £49.99

“Concrete Elevation” Mugs

Elevation

People will always need plates have returned to their first love, Brutalist architecture with their new series of mugs, which they have named “Concrete Elevation”.

The designs are taken from the facades of four Brutalist buildings, Parkhill in Sheffield, Robin Hood Gardens in Tower Hamlets, Sparkford House in Battersea and that old favourite, Trellick Tower. Taken in abstraction, the facades form geometic patterns that are far more attractive than buildings themselves could ever hope to be. The mugs are available in a range of colours, all priced £10.

Orange Union Jack Sofa by Jimmie Martin

38b2272de0b650d777d37bcdfb19666461baebde

2009 has certainly been the year for the revival of the Union Jack. Award-winning furniture designer, Jimmie Martin has used the motif in several of his designs, including the Orange Union Jack Sofa.

The sofa consists of a distressed silver leaf frame, seat upholsted in strips of black leather and a backrest painted with a Union Jack, where the parts that are ordinarily white, are painted in orange. It is certainly a striking piece, although the sofa doesn’t look the comfiest, so it would perhaps be more suitable for a hotel lobby or bar, rather than your lounge.

It costs £3000 and can be ordered online through My Deco.

Moose Head by Lucie Sheridan

Moose_head_orangecloseallthingsor

The idea of a moose head attached to wall always leaves me rather squeamish, but Lucie Sheridan has created a version of the traditional hunting trophy that even I would consider.

These moose heads are made from screen-printed paper, in blue or orange retro patterns, mounted onto board. They can be secured to the wall with a small tack.

The moose heads cost £22 each and are available to buy from All Things Original.
