Judy Holme Mannequin Cushions

36240The shops are awash with cushions with swirling patterns, giant daisies and other 60s/70s inspired prints, but British designer Judy Holme has gone further back in time for the inspiration for her Mannequin Cushions.

Harking back to the glamour of the 1920s, these 100% silk cushions feature the distinctive print of a model, dressed in the high society fashion of the period. Whilst the mannequin looks not unlike silent cinema star Clara Bow, the newest array of colours (magenta/mint, copper/mustard, lime/powder blue) mean these cushions won’t look out of place amongst mid-century styles.

Sheer Home Chaise Longue

Chaise_2Sheer Home offers an extensive range of exclusively-designed chaises longue. Designed and manufactured in the UK, they use kiln-dried hardwood for the frame and sprung suspension for maximum comfort.

They are available in a wide choice of fabrics, including the Pienet Kivet, a bold print from Marimekko, which comes in both a right and left-hand chaise. Better still, they are able to cover the chaise in the customer’s own fabric, allowing you to create a unique piece, perhaps using material from one of the many vintage fabric sellers on Ebay.

The Pienet Kivet chaise costs £470 and a chaise in your own fabric costs around £400, plus material. Further details are available on the Sheer Home website.
