Adidas 1980s Tennis Royal trainers reissued

Tennis_royal

Another gem from the archives returns, the Adidas Tennis Royal trainers.

The name gives away its heritage as a tennis shoe, although this early 80s shoe was picked up on the casual scene back in the day too – you'll see it featured in the remake of The Firm on the big screen right now. Typical of the court shoes of the day, the Tennis Royal offers up a white leather upper and contrast three-stripe branding, along with a perforated upper and toebox for breathing and a construction built for comfort.

Choose from black or green detailing (an image of the black over the page), both priced at £55.

Aristocrat Eyeglasses at American Apparel

Aristocrat

So often across fashion trends, the focus shines so much on the ladies that menswear gets entirely forgotten. If you're finding retro gents apparel is lacking, unisex styles can be a treasure trove, especially in accessories.

These Aristocrat Eyeglasses are a great sixties/seventies look pair, with heavy frames and clean sharp lines. The squared shape gives them a sleek, masculine look, while gold accents and framing add the flashy seventies feel. They come fitted with clear non-prescription lenses, but might just be worth adding your prescription to for regular wear.

Get them from American Apparel for £60.
