Vintage family photo cushions from Zoe de Las Cases

Cousin
Looking for something more unusual to put onto your sofa? Take a look at Zoe de Las Cases' cushions which are based on vintage family photos.

The Paris-based designer has printed the photos onto fabric and shaped into a cushion. Though the subjects of the photographs are unknown, they will instantly remind you of your own old family snapshots. The design pictured is called cousins and there's also a design based on a group of sisters. The nostalgic subject matter is further enhanced by the colour tinting of the image.

The cushion costs £23.75.

Orchard wallpaper from Graham and Brown

Orchard
We've featured lots of wallpapers that take their inspiration from the 1950s recently. For something with more of a 60s feel, take a look at this Orchard wallpaper from Graham and Brown.

The paper has a very graphic look with a repeated motif of an apple, executed in black and white with occasional use of grey too, helping enhance the sixties look. For a slightly more colourful variation, there's also a version of this design available using red.

The paper costs £20 a roll.

eBay watch: 1960s space age round television

Round

I'm not sure if this is a variation of the Keracolor Sphere, so let's just say this is a 1960s space age round television. It's also on eBay right now.

Does it work? Probably not, not least because of the advent of the digital era. The seller bought it for display purposes and it has been in storage, with no guarantee of it being functional. Note that, but note also that you can probably replace the actual TV in the shell, which has apparently already been done for this unit.

That shell is in white fibreglass, with a tulip-style base. Some minor damage, but not a lot. So a striking design piece or a project. It's currently on eBay at £100. Lots more images on the seller's page.
