Darling Clementine Woodland card range

Darling Clemintine woodland

Darling Clementine have previously been celebrated on this site for their 1970s designs. So it's hardly a surprise that their new Woodland card range references that Seventies trend currently enjoying a revival in fashion, 70s folk.

The cards are sold in sets of eight different designs. They feature all the motifs you'd expect like birds, flowers and leaves. The use of pinks, oranges and black, rather than the blues and greens you might expect, gives a contemporary edge to their look.

A set of the cards costs $35.

Mondrian-inspired Mondri mug by Frank Kerdil

Mondri

Piet Mondrian has always inspired plenty of designers but there seems to be a rush of products influence by his art recently, from the Mondrian table range to the Piet tables. Add to that list the Mondri mug by Frank Kerdil

Like the vase Kerdil designed with the same name, he's used the strong lines and colour associated with the artist's work on a new product. In this case it's a sturdy looking, handle-less mug, complete with a silicon ring for adding practicality. It's one of several mugs by Kerdil new in at Panik Design, all of which have a strong graphic look that Mondrian would surely also have approved of.

The mugs are also a cheaper way to buy into the look than many of the other options, costing only £10.

70s-style James watch collection by 666 Barcelona

James

A new company to me, but the James watch collection by 666 Barcelona has something of a familiar look.

Indeed, they're not a million miles away from the classic 1970s Lip watches we have featured in the past, but with more of a contemporary twist thrown in for the LED display.

Take your pick from a mix of metal and metal/rubbrer for the finish, the former in a choice of a metallic silver or gold, prices varying depending on where you buy. Watchismo sells the watches from $149, while the company sells to Europe direct, with prices starting at 116 Euros.

Vera Neumann Teacup Alley Wallpaper

Teacups

Vera Neumann is best known for her silk scarves, which she started to create in the 1940s, but her designs, characterised by bold colourful patterns, are also reproduced on home decor products such as the Teacup Alley Wallpaper.

The wallpaper is produced by The Vera Company, which bought the rights to its namesake’s designs after her death. This design features a tightly packed print made up of tiny blue and white teacups. There is a similar design from the archives featuring little teapots in green, yellow and white.

The Vera wallpaper costs £78 per roll, which will cover a 56 square feet area. It is available to buy exclusively from Anthropologie.

Twiggy Sofa

Th4111270980449twiggy

Twiggy must be second only to Marilyn Monroe in having the most retro-inspired products named after her. The Twiggy Sofa from Click4Interiors is another in a long line of examples.

I wouldn’t specifically identify its shape with any one period, but it does have a certain vintage style and the fabric choice here does lend a 1960s look to it. You can buy the Twiggy Sofa with this covering, or you can choose from the company’s other fabrics.

The sofa costs £855 and can be ordered online from Click4Interiors.
