If you've ever wanted to meet Sir Peter Blake, you'll have your chance on Friday 11th June 2010 at Sir Peter Blake In Conversation at the V&A.

The event runs for an hour and marks the publication of the Peter Blake (Design) book, which features, as you might guess, the iconic and distinctive designs of Blake throughout his career.

The book is out on 30th June 2010, but we suspect there might be a signed copy or two at the V&A event. Tickets for that are £8 and are available now from here, with the event kicking off at 7pm.

Finn Stone seems to have a distinctly retro twist to his work – you might recall the Finn Stone Ball table and chair from a while back. And now there's the O2 Chair.

Very much in the 70s space age era for inspiration, the O2 is available in a variety of colour combinations, but all made of recycled ABS with a 'high quality' paint finish that's good for both indoor and outdoor use.

A cult TV show from 1970 is celebrating 40 years with a DVD reissue – Catweazle: The Complete Series – 40th Anniversary Edition.

No, that's not a hippie or an escapee from a late 60s folk band, it's Geoffrey Bayldon as Catweazle, a bumbling magician trapped in and fascinated by a world 900 years ahead of his time.

This new DVD set comes with limited edition packaging, exclusive postcards, a new 40th anniversary introduction to the series by Geoffrey Bayldon, a new documentary, commentaries, interviews, image galleries and PDF material including merchandise, magazines, annuals and scripts for all episodes. The five-disc set is available via Network from 29th March 2010, selling for just over £35.

People will always need plates have created quite a trend for putting architectural drawing onto homewares, a trend that continues with these East London landmark mugs.

The four mugs reflect the history (and the current fashionableness) of the area and have something for most architectural tastes: be it the Victoriana of the Museum of Childhood, the industrial motif of the gas towers, the turn-of-the-century Hackney Empire or Dalston's Deco Rio cinema. Perhaps unsurprisingly their designer, Saranotsarah, is also an architect. Each drawing is shown against an attractive, colourful background.

This giclee print, titled Helsinki afternoon Autumn 1969, is another example of some of the great retro-influenced artwork you can find on Etsy. It's the work of Inaluxe, which is the store name of Australian Kristina Sostarko. 

Sure to appeal to fans of Orla Kiely's Multi Stem print, the rich colours reinforce the 60s look that's suggested by the title while the retro feel is reinforced through the shape of the trees.
