Jonathan Adler Barbie Doll and home furnishings

Adler_doll1

Jonathan Adler certainly doesn't hide his love of all things 70s, so it's no surprise that the Jonathan Adler Barbie Doll could have come kicking and screaming out of that decade.

A limited edition doll that should be on the shelves from September, it offers up a 70s-style hipster Barbie complete with mini dress in a David Hicks-inspired Adler fabric, along with some retro-styled mini accessories inspired by real interior pieces, specifically a side table, lamp, 3 funky-patterned vases, a lacquered tray, and a Barbie silhouette mirror.

If that's not enough for you, check out over the page for the Barbie Jonathan Adler room pack, which adds an Adler sofa, pillows, and blanket to the mix. You can pre-order now ahead of that September release, prices are $59.99 for the doll and accessories, $58.49 for the room pack.

Bob Dylan Mousepad

MM058-bob-dylan-mousepad

Technology has moved on so your mouse probably doesn’t really need a matt anymore, but it could be worth overlooking that fact for this Bob Dylan Mousepad.

It features the classic image by Milton Glaser, which has Dylan’s face in silhouette with his hair rendered in psychedelic glory.

The mat costs £6.99 (somewhat cheaper than original posters of this design cost) and can be bought online form VinMag.

Retro Checkered Pucker Dress by Rock Steady

Pucker dress

Fifties style reproductions can often veer towards the more risqué end of eveningwear. For a more wearable daytime look that still has all the sass of the era try this Pucker Dress by Rock Steady.

In a tweed style check the fabric ensures a high class office wear look, while the styling gives it a real femininity. Thin straps and a sweetheart neckline combine with a figure-hugging pencil skirt to give a classic 50s silhouette. The addition of a contrast trimmed peplum adds some extra flair for a Mad Men inspired style.

Get it online from Plasticland for $62.

Adidas Consortium Rod Laver trainers – in five new flavours

Rod_1

Adidas seems to be going collaboration mad these days and with the Adidas Consortium Rod Laver trainers, it hasn't just teamed up once, but four times – although there is an original colourway too for good measure.

You can see that above, which is essentially the 1977 tennis court classic with a new finish. In this case, a leather toebox and lining, premium canvas upper, a rubber sole  and the Consortium 'Handshake' branding on the tongue.

The four variations on this are from LimitEDitions, Undefeated, Dave's Quality Meat and VA, who all add their own detailing and colourway, but essentially keep the same shape and look. Check out the Dave's Quality Meat (DQM) version over the page, with prices for all around the £70 mark. Limited numbers of each style obviously.
