Soundwave Flo Wallcovering
If you’ve always wanted your home or office to look like the set of a classic sci-fi film, then this product can help you achieve that look.
Of course, that isn’t what the Soundwave Flo wallcovering has been designed for. It is intended to be a decorative sound absorber for use in offices, restaurants or the home, but its design in moulded polyester fibre gives it that retro-futuristic look. It is available in a choice of grey, anthracite, fuchsia or for the most space-age look, off-white.
585mm squared tiles cost just over 107 euros (around £100) from Scandinavian Design Center.
Houndstooth Victoria Coat from Fred Flare
Houndstooth coats are often a bit retro by numbers, but that doesn't mean they can't be instantly stylish when done right. This Victoria Coat from Fred Flare takes plenty of vintage inspiration to create a coat that can become timeless in any wardrobe.
The double breasted bodice combines with a feminine pleated skirt in cool contrast with the menswear-inspired houndstooth print. Finished off with a shaping waistband and striking bow, it combines sharp lines with just enough fun and kitsch for a perfect retro look.

D&G Body-Con Shift Dress
Of all the 80s revivalist trends that have hit big this year, Body Conscious dressing is one of the most authentic. It's one the designers are doing well, too, as proven by this D&G Shift Dress.
In a light cream, this dangerously figure-hugging dress takes a demure shift dress and amps up the sex appeal as only the 1980s could, creating an almost Sharon Stone-esque finished look. Made from a cotton and silk blend, it's as luxurious as it is head-turning.

Pac-Man 30th anniversary Zippo lighters by Banpresto
To celebrate 30 years of one of the most famous arcade games ever created, Zippo has created a range of Pac-Man lighters in conjunction with Banpresto.
The designs are all a variation on the Pac-Man theme (like the one above), with the characters attached to a classic Zippo lighter that works pretty much like every other windproof Zippo in the world.
But before you run out to your local tobacconist, there are a couple of problems. Firstly, the lighters aren't available until November and secondly, it looks like they might be Japan only. Which probably means hunting around import and auction sites to get one. Hopefully that will not be the case – we'll keep you posted.

eBay watch: Pieff 1970s dropdown-style dining table
An unusual design, but a very functional piece of furniture on eBay right now – this Pieff dropdown-style dining table.
According to the seller, this is a 1970s design, but with the look of it, the design is probably late 70s, drifting into the 80s. But it does look incredibly modern too and would fit into any modern (or modernist for that matter) home easily. For your money, you get a table that extends up to 193.5cm, with a width of 140cm, made of that a 'black' top and four chrome legs, all with a minimum of wear from the years it has been in circulation.
£350 will secure it on a 'Buy It Now' or you can chance your arm with best offer. See over the page for some detail shots.
