Fender Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster

Fender_strummer

One for the die-hard Clash fan – the Fender Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster.

Yes, not just any Fender Telecaster, this a beat-up Telecaster, based on the one Strummer strummed throughout his musical career. It’s crafted from alder with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, but for authenticity has a ‘road worn’ finish, with both the wood and metal bits and pieces undergoing an ‘artificial distressing’ process. A finishing touch is an engraved neck plate that says ‘Revolution Rock’.

According to Fender, the look of the guitar is based on Strummer’s attitude to the guitar – ‘how it sounds’ rather than ‘how it looks’. Ironic, bearing inm ind how much effort they’ve put into the look of this limited edition! Yours for £699.

Shag’s super-sized limited edition Glorious Lifestyle print

Gloriouslifestylebig

Ever seen The Party? It’s a film I personally love and if you’ve ever read the interview we did with Shag for Modculture (a good few years back), you’ll know he does too. And it’s the inspiration for the Shag Glorious Lifestyle print.

It’s a biggie – an epic 48 inches wide to pack in all the characters and that super-cool 60s domestic landscape. Shame there’s no sign of Peter Sellers though.

It’s limited to 150 and for the main part, limited to the Australian market. If that includes you, you can buy one here. However, there are very limited numbers of this 20-colour serigraph now available at the Shagmart shop – for US customers only and for a hefty $450 (around £225). But what us Brits?

Liberty dresses at Oasis

Liberty

Oasis has long been a shop full of the rather dull, with the odd classic style slipping under the net. Finally, though, the shop might not just be a last ditch gamble for lovers of eyecatching odes to vintage.

With the Liberty line, Oasis have created some fantastic designs with 60s and 70s inspiration. Available on dresses, as above, and tops and skirts, there’s something for everyone. The Carnaby dress, left, is a great all rounder with statement style.
