Classic Snoopy toothbrush holder

Snoopy

Charles M. Schulz’s most famous creation has long since grown beyond the confines of the Peanuts comic strip which made him. With tons of merchandise available, it’s hard to find something unique that keeps the charm and appeal of Snoopy himself.

This toothbrush holder from Fred Flare is a remake of a 1972 design and includes an electric toothbrush that’s made of Snoopy himself.

It’s available online from Fred Flare for just $20.

Wesco R2-D2 projection alarm clock

R2d2_projection_clock

More Star Wars stuff? Certainly is – and what must be the 10th R2-D2 tie-in this year. Saying that, we really can’t resist the R2-D2 projection alarm clock.

Stick it by our bed and the droid will project the time onto the nearest wall (ideally a plain one), with a smaller digital reader out on the body. What else you get for your money isn’t really clear – I suspect an alarm, but there’s also mention of ‘R2-D2 sounds’, music and worryingly ‘scent’.

Saying that, it’s not going to cost much to find out what you get – it goes on sale from September for just £19.99.

Zanotta space age Brasilia lounge chair

Brasilia

A space age chair suitably named after a futuristic city – the Zanotta Brasilia lounge chair.

The looks are pure 1970s (think Space 1999 or UFO), but the design is actually fairly modern, the work of Ross Lovegrove in 2003. It’s moulded in hard polyurethane and finished with embossed scratch-resistant paint, the choice of which is up to you (although white and orange keep that retro vibe strong).

The only downside if this award-winning chair is the price tag of £1,773 – and that doesn’t include the footstool.
