Sukie’s retro-styled Indian notebooks

Sukie

Something a little different for your jottings – these Indian notebooks from Sukie.

The notebooks have incredibly eye-catching designs, all inspired by notebooks found in markets across India. And to add to the quirkiness, they’re all made by hand, so each one is slightly different or if you like, unique.

The covers are a slightly glossed hardback, with lined pages inside and there’s a good choice of designs available on the website, including the Science and Special featured here. Each one retails for £5.95.

London: Atlas Of Architecture

London_archi_2
Like all cities, London is a mix of architecture from all eras, dating back over hundreds of years. London: Atlas Of Architecture by Alejandro Bahamón aims to be your guide through it.

It’s a visual guide, with over 600 photographs, historical maps, paintings and drawings. And for easy browsing, it’s split over three sections. The first is a chronological breakdown, from early Roman buildings through to the latest constructions. Secondly, there’s a breakdown by borough, with maps picking out interesting buildings for each area. And finally, there’s a look at types of buildings, from churches and monuments to hotels and stations.

Available now, the recommended retail price is £20 for the hardback.

Horseyhopper
Some ideas are pure genius – and Horsey Hoppers is one of them.

Yes, it is horse racing with Space Hoppers. For your money, you get two hoppers, each with a horse cover, along with jockey caps, a starter’s whistle and a finishing flag. Stick on your hat, jump on a hopper and place your bets before racing round the garden on your rubber horse.

They are available in the coming weeks, priced at £25.99 for the set.

eBay Watch: Dieter Rams Braun design poster

Dieter_rams_poster
A nice mix of art and design on eBay, this Dieter Rams Braun design poster.

I’m presuming it was printed around 1975, with the poster showing designs made by the designer for Braun from 1956 to 1975. Incredibly stylish poster too, an eight-colour offset print with what you would probably call technical images of the hi-fi equipment designed by the man over this period.

Sized at 60 x 84cm and apparently unused, there are a few of them for sale, each currently selling for around £14. Sounds like an absolute bargain, not to mention a shrewd investment.
