Ingela city prints from Lagom

Ingela Paris

Ingela Arrhenius has been a frequent visitor on this site recently, from her alphabet print to her dish cloths design. However, how can we resist showing you more when she keeps coming up with designs as attractive as these city prints, available from Lagom?

She's produced prints, illustrating the delights of three of our favourite European cities. Each shows some of the city's landmarks and unique charms, as seen through the eyes of a Swedish illustrator and executed in her retro style. The baguettes, macaroons and Mona Lisa of Paris is shown in the print above, while you can check out London's pubs, punks and city gents over the page. The third city? Some Swedish style courtesy of Stockholm.

Each print is limited to 200 and cost £45.

Bossy

Brigitte Herrod has created these limited edition Vintage ‘Bossy Woman’ Pictures exclusively for Rockett St George.

Each box frame consists of a vintage dolls with her hands on her hips and a message. Ready-made messages include Are you listening Frank!, Tea's Ready!, Put the kettle on!, Now wash your hands!, Happy Birthday! or I love you! (the latter two somewhat at odds with her stern expression). You can also opt to have a personalised message instead.

The pictures cost £59 from Rockett St George.

More Tea Vicar Print

Cache_394_394_2_moretea
This More Tea Vicar Print is in a similar war era style as the well-known Keep Calm series.

Whilst there has been plenty of these types of designs around in recent years, this one wins us over with its cute teapot illustration and a reference to our favourite beverage. It meaures 14cm by 18cm and is sold framed in a black wood frame.

It costs £12.95 from Vinegar Hill.

A-Z poster by Ingela Arrhenius

Ingela atoz

Ingela Arrhenius has been busy. It was only earlier in the week that we featured her retro dish cloth designs. This A-Z Poster offers a more conventional way to showcase her art.

It uses the traditional A-Z format, running from Apple to Zebra, all executed in her distinctive retro style. The vignettes are charming in themselves (I'm especially fond of the 'M' which looks like a 'Moon landing') but also look great together as an overall piece of art. Perfect for a very stylish kids room.

The poster is sold unframed and costs 23 euros.

V&A Pattern books: Pop Patterns

Pop patterns
Inspired by bright, colourful and fun patterns? We advise checking out Pop Patterns, the latest in the V&A Pattern series which we featured on its launch a couple of years ago.

Like those books, it features 65 different patterns drawn from the archives of the V&A, alongside an introduction from one of the museum's curators. This collection, introduced by Oriole Cullen, pulls together images from the 1960s and early 70s that show the influence of Pop Art on British wallpaper and fabric design. There are patterns by the likes of Mr Freedom, The Fool and Zandra Rhodes and, my personal favourite, a dress fabric called 'Haircut? Yes Please' by Marc Foster and Michael Yates which features illustrations of every kind of men's haircuts, ranging from the classic crewcut to the forward brush and flat top.

Packed full of unusual imagery, the book is priced £7.99, but is currently available for £6.39 on Amazon
