More 60s style, courtesy of Jonathan Adler, this time with his Peace and Love coaster set.
Part of his range that's available through Supernice, each set includes four coasters with a different bright sixties style design. They're hand-made using needlepoint and and backed with velvet to complete the luxurious feel. Attractive and unusual, they'll add the perfect touch of Pop and peace to a table.
Not cheap though. A set of the coasters costs £38.

Etsy seller BlueOrder has created this Giant Cassette Coaster/Table Mat.
It features a photograph of a cassette tape, encased with plastic to make it usable as a table mat or giant coaster. It can also be hung on the wall too, should you wish to use it as artwork instead. Similar products are also available with vinyl on a record player.
The coaster costs just under £16 from Etsy.
If you remember Tony Hart and his plasticine partner, Morph, fondly, take a look at the Morph coasters, available from The Gifted Penguin.
Morph first appeared on telly in 1977 and remains a firm childhood favourite. Here the character unfortunately looks like he's been flattened but handily has been flattened into the shape of a perfect coaster. The coaster is made from moulded plastic and could perhaps be paired up with the Morph bookends for a look worthy even of Tony Hart's gallery?
The coaster costs £7.99.

The Pretty City Mug and Coaster are typical of Pretty City’s products, which feature nostalgic images of London.
The mug is decorated with multiple images of a black London cab, plus one illustration of a traditional red London bus for contrast. The mug is sold with its own coaster, a handy addition in itself, but the coaster can also double as lid for the mug to help keep the heat in your drink for longer.
The set costs £8.99 and will available to order from Cloth Ears soon, although you can view the details there now.
Still on a foodie theme, but this time the inspiration is the most sophisticated 70s starter, the prawn cocktail As part of a series of illustrations on a fish theme,
Gillian Blease has produced Prawn Cocktail coasters, mats and trays. The pink prawns are pictured falling into a cocktail glass and it may just be my imagination but they look rather anxious!
An individual coaster costs £4.95 and large trays costs £24.95, with the prices for the table mats and smaller tray being between the two. If you want to buy six of any product, you can mix and match with other designs from the fish range. Buy them online from Jenny Duff.
