Orla Kiely's homeware range is full of desirable items. But these new flower vases are great for adding a splash of retro style and colour – and that's even before you add any blooms.
See a stylised daisy motif and chances are you'll be thinking of the sixties. Which makes this flower chain necklace from Miss Selfridge the perfect accessory to your favourite sixties shift.
Horrockses Fashions were best known for their floral dress designs in the 1940s and 1950s label and have cropped up a few time on this blog: both because of the exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum last year, and the range of products inspired by the label available from the V&A. Some of their best loved patterns are now being revived on bedlinens.
The design definitely looks to the starburst designs of the 1950s. However, the spokes of the stars have been replaced by the curved petals of a flower, pushing the feel of the clock into the sixties. Made from wood, the material enhances the retro feel of the design which could work in many different interiors.
The clock costs £30.
